What is the SSBI?

The SSBI is an Australian Government program providing free nbn home broadband access for up to 30,000 families with school-aged children across Australia. The program is for families who currently do not have internet access, but live on a premises that can get an nbn connection.

Things you need to know

To be considered for the SSBI program, families must live on a premises that can get a nbn connection but are not currently connected to the nbn network.

School Student Broadband Initiative will no longer be taking new orders from 30 June 2025. Customers already on the program can enjoy their $0 internet plan through to 30 June 2028

In the event the SSBI program is not extended beyond 30 June 2028, you will have the option of taking up one of the many Superloop plans or cancelling your service.

Prior to reaching the end of the program, Superloop will be in contact to discuss your options. Rest assured Superloop will NOT place you on a paid service without your consent.
