Superloop CEO & Managing Director Paul Tyler said,

“I am thrilled to welcome Jason to our leadership team. He has decades of experience in the telecommunications industry and has an extensive understanding of the unique mix of fixed and wireless technologies. Having Jason on board will help drive our M&A agenda as well as our rapidly growing Smart Communities portfolio.”

Ashton has had ties with Superloop before, having previously held an executive position with Superloop after the company acquired BigAir in 2014, a wireless and IT services company that Ashton co-founded and led.

Superloop recently announced the acquisition of Optus’ subsidiary Uecomm Pty Ltd adding over 2,000 kilometres of high-capacity fibre assets across Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane/Gold Coast central business districts and metropolitan areas. Driving the integration of this acquisition will also play a part of Ashton’s new role in line with Superloop’s ambitious growth strategy.

Superloop is a challenger brand, committed to disrupting the market and gaining share from incumbents. We constantly push ourselves to improve and innovate. Jason embodies this spirit, bringing a fresh perspective and aligning with our company values. He is a fantastic addition to the team. Our mission is to keep refreshing the internet experience for Australians, and we're excited to work with people who share our passion for making that happen.
